Terms of Service

Last updated: 30 July 2026

1. Who we are

Myri ("we", "us") operates this website and sells access to online courses in two forms: (a) seats on courses hosted by Coursera, purchased by Myri and assigned to you, and (b) courses created and taught by independent tutors directly on Myri. Myri is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Coursera.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts used fraudulently or in breach of these terms.

3. Purchases and delivery

Prices are shown in Nigerian Naira and payments are processed by Paystack. For Coursera courses, we assign a seat to your own email after payment; certificates are issued by Coursera in your own name. Seat provisioning is normally completed within 48 hours. For tutor-taught courses, access is immediate after payment and remains available for as long as the course is offered on Myri.

4. 1-on-1 sessions

Some courses include a limited number of private sessions with a tutor. Session requests are subject to the tutor's acceptance and availability, and unused sessions have no cash value. Be on time; a missed session you booked may count as used.

5. Content and conduct

Course content belongs to its creators (Coursera and its partners, or the tutor). You may not record, redistribute, resell, or share course content or your account access. Certificates describe completion only; they are not academic degrees.

6. Tutors

Tutors on Myri are independent providers of teaching services. Myri collects payment on their behalf and remits their share after deducting a platform commission. Tutors are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content they publish.

7. Held funds and release (escrow)

Myri collects course payments as a limited payment agent and holds each payment until the purchase is delivered. Funds are released as follows:

(a) Coursera courses — funds are treated as earned once your Coursera seat has been provisioned and your invitation sent. (b) Tutor-taught courses— the tutor's share is held by Myri and released to the tutor after the 7-day refund window on your purchase has closed without a valid refund or dispute claim. (c) If a refund or dispute is upheld before release, the held funds are returned to you instead of being released to the tutor.

8. Refunds

Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. See the Refund Policy page for details.

9. Disputes — 14-day resolution timeline

If something goes wrong with a purchase, raise it with us at hello@myri.ng or on WhatsApp at +234 812 353 2839. We acknowledge every dispute within 2 business days and resolve it within 14 calendar days of it being raised: we investigate, may request supporting information from you and the tutor, and conclude with a refund, a replacement (for example re-provisioning a seat), or a written explanation of why the claim was declined. Funds connected to an open dispute stay held until the dispute is resolved. This process does not limit your right to pursue a chargeback through your bank or card issuer.

10. Data security (PCI DSS statement)

All card and bank payments on Myri are processed by our licensed payment processors, which are certified to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Card numbers, PINs, and other payment credentials are entered directly into the processor's secure checkout and are never collected, transmitted through, or stored on Myri's servers. Myri stores only non-sensitive transaction references. All traffic to and from our website is encrypted with TLS (HTTPS), account passwords are stored as salted hashes, and access to order data is restricted to authorised staff. Our full data practices are described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase. We do not guarantee employment, admission, or any specific outcome from completing a course.

12. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page with a new date. Questions? Contact us at hello@myri.ng or on WhatsApp at +234 812 353 2839.
